Community Outreach
Families with Aging Parents
Hands 4Life serves families in the local community struggling to care for their aging parents. We provide instruction on the importance of family values and how to physically care for an older adult in need. With education and proper skills training, the family can understand the aging process and care for their loved one with respect and love.
Through Hands 4Life’s community outreach program, the older adults have the opportunity to join social activities designed to have ways for the grandparents to give back to their communities and share their talents, gifts, and wisdom with the younger generation. The programs allow the older generation to feel honored and respected.
Families with Children
The child’s outreach program equips families with the skills and tools necessary to keep them together and prevent them from putting their children in an orphanage.
We will provide a voucher program that allows families to budget their expenses and teach them how to achieve financial independence. Programming for elders is focused on dignified living conditions in the present, where this program is a long-term orientation toward economic self-sufficiency outside of the program.
The community outreach program is designed to bring the two generations together to share life. The in-between generation (the parents of the children) take roles of leadership in cultivating relationships and strengthening their community’s social structure.
